Update: TMZ now reports that Allen Iverson did not, in fact, kidnap his children. More here.

Allen Iverson's ex-wife, Tawanna Iverson, claims that the former Sixer has taken their kids and has not returned them to her, according to TMZ.com.

The report by TMZ states that Tawanna has filed legal documentation claiming that Allen recently asked her for permission -- which she granted -- to take their five kids on a short vacation to Charlotte, N.C. The vacation was to take place from May 22 to May 26, but on May 26, the children were not returned. Tawanna says she tried to set up an exchange of the kids with Allen on June 4 at a Target store, but Allen never showed up.

According to TMZ, Tawanna "has sole legal and primary physical custody of their children" and "now believes Allen never took their kids to Charlotte at all ... and is currently keeping them at a Sheraton hotel in Georgia." The report also states that Tawanna is "especially concerned because Allen's an alcoholic who drinks around their kids."

Allen, the report states, has filed legal documentation in which he denies all of his ex-wife's allegations.
