The Sixers will play two preseason games in Europe next year.

On October 6, the Sixers will appear in Bilbao, Spain, against Uxue Bilbao Basket. On October 8, the Sixers will face the Oklahoma City Thunder in Manchester, England. In addition to the Sixers and Thunder, the Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Lakers will also play abroad next preseason. Other games will be held in Turkey, the Philippines, Taiwan, Brazil and China.

“Providing fans with an authentic NBA experience is an important part of our efforts to grow the game globally,” NBA Commissioner David Stern said in a statement.  “This fall, nearly a third of our teams will embark on a global tour that will celebrate the game of basketball, give our international fans a chance to connect with NBA teams and players, and leave a lasting impact in each of the communities we visit.”
