The Sixers on Wednesday made a swap of centers, signing free agent Daniel Orton and waiving Tim Ohlbrecht.

The 29th pick of the 2010 NBA draft by the Magic, Orton has played just 29 NBA games for Orlando and Oklahoma City. The 6-foot-10, 255-pounder averaged 12.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks last season for the Tulsa 66ers of the D-League.

The 23-year-old Orton, who declared for the NBA draft after his freshman season at Kentucky, becomes the 20th player on the Sixers' preseason roster.

He joins a group of big men that includes Lavoy Allen, Kwame Brown, Spencer Hawes, Mac Kowshal and the injured Nerlens Noel and Arnett Moultrie.
