Just two days after waiving Maalik Wayns, the Sixers have re-signed him to a 10-day contract.
This season, the 6-foot-1 rookie point guard out of Villanova has played in 20 games, including one start. In just under eight minutes per game of floor time, Wayns averages 2.5 points and 1.0 assists but has converted just 24.2 percent of his field goal attempts.
The Sixers on Sunday waived Wayns, a native Philadelphian and graduate of Roman Catholic High School, in order to avoid guaranteeing his contract for the rest of the season.
