The Sixers will offer a second 10-day contract to center Dewayne Dedmon, a league source said Thursday.

Dedmon's first 10-day deal was set to expire on Thursday. With a second 10-day deal, the Sixers must sign Dedmon for the remainder of the season if they choose to keep him beyond a second 10-day pact.

Dedmon, 24, has appeared in five games for the Sixers over the past two weeks, averaging 3.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 14.8 minutes. He also appeared in four games for the Golden State Warriors earlier this season as well as 15 games for the Warriors' D-League affiliate, Santa Clara. In the D-League, Dedmon averaged 15.2 points, 13.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.

A native of Lancaster, Calif., Dedmon attended USC after playing just one season of high-school ball.
