The Sixers plan on signing big man Dewayne Dedmon to a 10-day contract, a league source confirmed to CSNPhilly.com Insider Dei Lynam late Monday night.

The news was first reported by Yahoo! Sports.

Dedmon, a 7-foot, 255-pound center, was averaging 15.2 points, 13.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 15 games this season for Golden State's NBDL affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors.

The 24-year-old rookie Dedmon played two seasons at USC before going undrafted this summer after declaring following his junior season with the Trojans.

Dedmon appeared in four games for the Warriors earlier this season.
