A season ago the Sixers had two Holidays.

Now they have none.

The Sixers waived guard/forward Justin Holiday on Wednesday, according to a league source, less than two months after trading younger brother and All-Star Jrue Holiday to the Hornets for Nerlens Noel and a 2014 first-round pick.

The elder Holiday played nine games for the Sixers last season, averaging 4.7 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 15.8 minutes.

There are 13 players currently on the Sixers' 2013-14 roster: Lavoy Allen, James Anderson, Kwame Brown, Michael Carter-Williams, Spencer Hawes, Arsalan Kazemi, Arnett Moultrie, Noel, Tim Olbrecht, Jason Richardson, Evan Turner, Royce White and Thaddeus Young. The Sixers remain about $10 million under the salary cap.
