Sixers forward Thaddeus Young will miss three weeks with a grade one strain of his left hamstring.

Young suffered the injury in the second quarter of Monday’s win over Orlando, and an MRI taken Tuesday morning revealed the severity of the injury.

Young now in his sixth NBA season has started all 47 games this season and is averaging career highs in points and rebounds with 15 and 7.4, respectively. He is shooting 52 percent from the floor.

The Sixers play eight games in the next three weeks and are currently 21-26, three games back of the Celtics for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.
