AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Brett Brown is shaking up his starting lineup today against the Pistons, putting Hollis Thompson in for James Anderson. It is the first start Thompson is making in his NBA career.

Thompson is 18 for 33 from the field over his last five games and is long defensively. He could certainly help if asked to guard Detroit’s Josh Smith.

Thompson is a small forward naturally, which means Evan Turner likely is sliding to the shooting guard position.

Anderson has struggled of late, shooting just 2 for 19 from long distance over his past three games. For the season, Anderson is shooting 32.1 percent from behind the arc and averaging 9.8 points.

The Sixers have lost nine of their last 11 games and they have dropped their last five road games.
