The folks over at SLAM have a quick Q&A with Jrue Holiday about his sneaker game as well as a photo gallery of Jrue's shoes over the years. Jrue, not surprisingly, was always a fan of the Jordans growing up -- mentioning the IVs, the XIs, and the XIIIs specifically -- but he eventually signed with Adidas, saying it was an easy decision for him. He also shared a rather hilarious tale from his days as a young 8th grader when someone tried to mess with his kicks.

SLAM: Do you have any specific sneaker memories from when you were younger?

JH: I was in the 8th grade and I actually had the
Tracy McGradys, and there was a little kid talking about, “Oh, I don’t
know why you basketball players worry about your shoes so much—why are
they always so clean?” And he stepped on my shoes in class. I punched
him in the stomach. I feel bad now, but at the time it was like, man,
you can’t just step on my shoes and try to get away with it. We became
friends after that [laughs].

The gallery they put together is pretty cool. I'm actually a fan of the real bright colors he rocked during All-Star Weekend seen above.
