Even at 37 years old, Allen Iverson has the itch to play. Granted some of his motivation might be financial, but watching A.I. give everything he had on the hardwood night after night, his love of the game is unquestioned. That would help explain why The Answer turned up in China over the weekend.
On Saturday, Iverson and other less-prominent NBA alumni appeared in an exhibition game against the 2012 Chinese Basketball Association champion Beijing Ducks and (apparently) Stephon Marbury. Little else in the way of details was uncovered, including whose sides won or lost, but courtesy of HoopsHype, we know for a fact this took place.
The video shows Iverson doing Iverson things to some poor defender who either was really tired and needed a break, or simply couldn't hang with the four-time NBA scoring champion's stuff. Way to create and get yourself that easy bucket.
Or not. Oh, c'mon Iverson! You gotta finish that! You know what they say about practice...
By the way, don't anybody ask Andrew Bynum to shoot the three ball this season.
