Giants fans disrespect fictional Philly character's statue

Apparently Steve Weatherford jerseys exist. Who knew?

In preparation for Monday Night Football, Giants fans decided to have a little fun with the City of Brotherly Love. And what better way to troll Eagles fans than to disrespect the statue of a fictional character?

You probably have already seen pictures of the Rocky statue donning a blue Giants jersey. But you may be wondering who the hell No. 5 is. After extensive research, we found out the number belonged to former Giants punter Steve Weatherford, who was released in September.

Oh, the irony.

Weatherford reposted the picture on his own Instagram account, saying he "can't wait to see my brothers get to work on #MNF."
