Kevin Durant says he loves Philly, too!

Kevin Durant made big news this week when he gave Boston fans a slight glimmer of hope that he'd leave OKC when he hits free agency to become a Boston Celtic.

Except KD was pretty much just being polite when he spoke highly of the Cradle of Liberty.

He clarified those comments today after a shootaround in Philadelphia and said he loves our city too!

This quote comes via the Oklahoman:

"I love being in Philly, too," Durant said after shootaround at the Wells Fargo Center. "If you ask me about a city, I like being there. I'm not going to say anything bad about it. That's how I am. I'm not going to watch what I say. Because I know how I'm saying it and my intentions in saying it. People are going to pick and choose what they want to write and I can't control that. But I can control what I say. And I'm not going to hold my tongue or answer things differently or walk on egg shells because I don't want stuff written about me. I'm just gonna be who I am. Of course people are going to say stuff. I like playing in Boston, like the city, it's a cool city, they ran with that one. But I know how it is. It's all good."

What's not to like? The Liberty Bell. Cheesesteaks. Incredibly friendly sports fans. That lovely new practice facility in New Jersey. So much to love.

You may remember back last summer when the Sixers hired a strength and conditioning coach with ties to KD as well

So, all of this clearly means Kevin Durant is going to become a Sixer, yes?

Trust the process and twisted cookie-cutter quotes.

The Sixers will look for their tenth win of the season tonight when they host the Thunder at 7:00 p.m. at the Center.
