Nerlens Noel made his long-awaited professional debut for the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, so forgive us if we’re a little overly excited for a couple of slam dunks. If nothing else, though, these shots suggest the sixth overall pick of the 2013 draft is fully recovered from the torn ACL that caused him to sit out all of last season.
As you can see, Noel got to the basket a bunch of times, including one particularly acrobatic play as the 76ers fell to the Orlando Magic 83-77 in Summer League action. In fact, Noel actually led all Sixers in scoring, finishing with 19 points in 26 minutes.
Not pictured, Noel also showed off a little touch around the basket, moved the ball around well and was a generally pesky defender (four steals!). The 700 Level will have a more in-depth review of Noel’s debut a little later, but honestly, it was just nice to see him on the court in a live game.
Just going to watch this Nerlens Noel breakaway jam GIF for the rest of the day. http://t.co/n0jwEpuz1y— Dan McQuade (@dhm) July 5, 2014
