Did Eagles celebrate division wins too much?

The answer is always the same. Why are the Eagles failing to score or failing to stop teams from scoring?

Its the execution, defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins said, this time discussing why they couldnt stop Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch. Its the biggest problem for us and its been the biggest problem.

And thats why the Eagles are 4-8. Yet they're 3-1 in the NFC East. Go figure.

After that mess of a loss to the Giants at the Linc in Week 3, the Eagles appeared to save their season by handling the Redskins and crushing the Cowboys. Then they lost to the Bears and, somehow, to John Skelton's Cardinals.

Then they appeared to save their season again. Without Michael Vick, the Eagles regrouped and manhandled the Giants at the Meadowlands. But after that promising win, they were pounded by the Patriots and embarrassed by the Seahawks.

What happened to the execution? Jenkins has a theory.

We came out against the Giants and we executed pretty well, Jenkins said. Then maybe we got too high off of that game. Maybe we didnt approach the next game with the same intensity. You look at our record in our division and you look at our record against everyone else, and it looks like were not coming out with the same intensity in the regular games as we are in the division games.

The Eagles finish their regular seasonand almost certainly their season, periodagainst the Redskins on New Years Day.
