Eagles O-line happy for Shadys Pro Bowl nod

LeSean McCoy was selected to his first Pro Bowl, and deservedly so.

McCoy has 1,309 rushing yards (second in the NFL) and is first in rushing TDs, overall TDs and first downs.

But McCoys selection isnt just an accolade for the running back, its also an award for the offensive line, which has really come on strong this season.

Its great for us that he made the Pro Bowl, left guard Evan Mathis said. Were happy to clear the way to help him do that. He could have done half the work without us there.

Some thought Mathis might get some Pro Bowl consideration but he said McCoy going is like the next best thing.

The Eagles' top lineman, Jason Peters, will make his fifth straight trip to the Pro Bowl. That didnt surprise anyone.

I think if Jason got snubbed, that would be the biggest upset Ive ever seen ever, center Jason Kelce said. His body of work speaks for itself.

Kelce also said that it feels good to help McCoy make it to his first Pro Bowl. Kelce said that McCoy is always thanking the offensive line.

He thanks us after every game, Kelce said. Thats Shady. Hes one of the more humble backs in the league.

Will the guys on the O-line get some sort of prize from the young star running back? Maybe a watch?

Weve been in his ear, we dont know what its going to be yet, Kelce said.

Mathis had an idea

Yeah, he can take us to McDonalds or something.
