Giants' SB win enough to make Eagles fans sick

Like waking up with a bad hangover after an all-night drinking binge, did you get up Monday with your head spinning and pounding as you had to come to grips with the fact that the New York Giants are the world champs once again? Did it make you want to dry heave knowing that Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning have secured two Super Bowl rings in a span of four years? Did it make your stomach queasy as you watched Manning, who looks like L'il Abner, but played flawlessly throughout the playoffs.

In a regular season that was arguably the best of Manning's career with a passer rating of 92.9, he took his game to another level in the second season. In four playoff games, including the Super Bowl, Manning completed 65 percent of his passes, which included nine touchdowns and only one interception. He made the accurate throws and the big throws when called upon by the Giants. His wide receivers stepped up, and the G-mens defense clamped down in the crucial moments.

So here we are watching Big Blue dance into the off-season sunset as the best of the best in the NFL in 2011.

Theres not enough Alka Seltzer or tomato juice chasers to shake the cobwebs. Youll think to yourself that indulging in more football-related beverages like free agency, the upcoming NFL draft or OTAs will help ease the pain and make the time pass faster, but in reality it won't. You won't really come out of it until training camp rolls around at Lehigh in July.

Hopefully, between now and then, you won't have to admit yourself into a football rehab clinic.
