Indefatigable McCoy never wants to come out

So youre happy the Eagles are running the ball. Youre happy for LeSean McCoy, who rushed 30 times for 185 yards in Sundays smashing of the Cowboys.

But youre also wondering, was it really necessary to have McCoy in the game when it was 34-7? Ronnie Brown had one carry for four yards. Maybe Andy Reid could give Brown a few more snaps?

Well listen, he wants to play, Reid said Monday. I take him out and he runs back onit makes me mad. I have to snatch him back off the field. Hes a competitor and loves to play the game. I do have a lot of trust in Ronnie and Dion Lewis, so as we move on here Ill have to spot him depending on the situation of the game.

The 23-year-old McCoy doesnt seem to fatigue.

Hes the one doing all of the jumping around in the locker room afterward. I mean, hes riding a bike with 1:30 left in the game, Reid said. Hes got this phenomenal energy and he loves to play. I joke around a little bit but when he gets pulled out of a game hes not a real happy camper. He wants to be in there and he wants to play.

On Tuesday it was announced that McCoy is a finalist for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week. You can help him win (see post).
