LeSean McCoy will not get a chance to chase Maurice Jones-Drew for the NFLs rushing title.

McCoy is inactive for the Eagles final regular season game Sunday against the Redskins because of an ankle injury suffered in last weeks win over Dallas. He was listed on the injury report as questionable but expected to play.

McCoy will finish the season with 1,309 yards rushing, currently second behind Jones-Drew, who has 1,437.

Ronnie Brown will start at running back for McCoy.

Also inactive for the Eagles are cornerback Asante Samuel and defensive tackle Mike Patterson. This will be the second straight game Samuel has missed with a hamstring injury suffered in the win over the Jets. Patterson has the flu. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will start for Samuel, and Trevor Laws for Patterson.

Defensive tackle Cedric Thornton, guard Julian Vandervelde, receiver Ron Johnson and linebacker Greg Lloyd are also inactive. Johnson was promoted from the practice squad on Saturday and took the roster spot held by Kurt Coleman, who was placed on injured reserve with a bicep injury suffered last week against Dallas.
