So … now Andy can hear Eagles fans?

What a difference two weeks makes huh?

When the Eagles hosted -- and were trampled by -- the New England Patriots on Nov. 27, the chants were loud: "Fire Andy! Fire Andy! Fire Andy!"

They were really loud and they lasted until the beginning of the fourth quarter when the fans had seen enough and most fled the stadium.

They were really loud and yet Andy Reid said he couldn't hear them. Couldn't hear them?
I didnt hear them, Reid said after the Eagles were pummeled by the Pats, 38-20. The way we played I can understand it.

Man, the acoustics in the Linc must stink. Or maybe the acoustics in Sun Life Stadium in Southern Florida are just awesome because Reid heard the fans there. To recap: Didn't hear the 60,000 people chanting in Philadelphia but heard the few thousand in Florida. Uh huh....

Oh, I know, maybe it was some kind of miracle -- not unlike the one the Birds will need to make the playoffs -- that allowed Reid to be able to hear. But that's unlikely.

Reid praised the fans who made the trip to Miami. And those fans did deserve the praise. Here's what Reid said during his press conference on Monday:

Id like to just thank the fans for the great job that they did yesterday, supporting us down there. At times, it was almost like a home game."

But it didn't feel like a home game -- the Eagles won. And, this time, Reid heard the fans.
