Source: OL Mathis visiting with Ravens

Offensive guard Evan Mathis, who spent last season with the Eagles on a one-year deal, is in Baltimore meeting with the Ravens, a league source told Comcast SportsNet's Derrick Gunn.

While there has been some reported interest from the Colts and Redskins, the Ravens are the newest potential suitors for the unrestricted free agent.

Thought of as a journeyman of sorts, Mathis seemed to fit in nicely with the Eagles last season.

I feel like I found a home here, Mathis said toward the end of the season. I hope I did. I told my agent I didnt want any contract talks during the season. I didnt want that distraction. Thats something for after the season, and hopefully we can get something worked out. I want to be here, and hopefully they want me here, too.

Before joining the Eagles, the 30-year-old, bounced from Carolina to Miami to Cincinnati.

Last year, Mathis, while playing on a one-year 685,000 deal, was inserted into the starting line at left guard when Todd Herremans was moved to right tackle before the start of the season.

Mathis started 15 games last season for the first time since he was with the Panthers in 2006.
