Vick apologizes to Redskins cheerleader

Share

Michael Vick is sorry.

After a 31-yard, third-quarter run in Sundays win over Washington, Vick run out of bounds and kicked a ball, which had been on the ground, and nearly hit a cheerleader. He seemed apologetic immediately afterward and was again after the game.

As he concluded his postgame press conference and began to leave the room, a reporter quickly asked him about the play. So Vick did a 180 and went back to the mic.
I apologize to the cheerleaders, Vick said. That was a very bad gesture and cant let my emotions get the best of me, so sorry to the Redskins cheerleaders. I didnt mean to offend anybody.

Vick ran seven times for 54 yards (7.7 a carry) Sunday and has rushed for 372 yards this season.
