Wayne Simmonds scored two goals, his 14th and 15th of the season, for the Flyers in the win over the Preds. When the Flyers last played the Devils on Jan. 21, Simmonds played recorded the first three-point game of his career with one goal and two assists.

For the Devils, Zach Parise scored two goals in the team's win over the Canadiens, including the go-ahead goal late in the third period. Parise has four points in the last three games.

Storylines
The Devils and Flyers saw one another on Jan. 21 in New Jersey, when the Flyers came away with a 4-1 victory. If the Flyers defeat New Jersey in Saturdays matinee and top the Rangers on Sunday, they will claim at least a share of the Eastern Conference lead.
