The only way Scott Hartnell makes the All-Star roster at this point is through an injury.

Well, theres a big one out there today, as Minnesotas All-Star forward Mikko Koivu has a separated shoulder.

Mike Russo of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune says Koivu could miss up to six weeks. That means Koivu will miss both the Wild's Tuesday game at the Wells Fargo Center and the All-Star Game, Jan. 29 in Ottawa.

Just because Koivu is on the Wild doesnt obligate the NHL to to replace him with another Wild player.

Dallas Stars' all-star Jamie Benn is out for up to three weeks after undergoing an appendectomy

Either of those injuries could result in Hartnells opening.

Heard nothing, Hartnell said with a smile today after practice. Im not too worried about it. I havent made any plans.

I just got to worry about playing better. Our last few games, our line hasnt been good. Weve been slow to pucks, things like that. Weve shown on the score sheet we havent had many points the last four-five games.
