NEW YORK -- Henrik Lundqvist watched his New York Rangers teammates dominate the Toronto Maple Leafs at the other end of the ice and couldn't believe he was the goalie trailing by two goals.

Shot after shot was gobbled up in the first period by Toronto's James Reimer as Lundqvist stewed because two of the three pucks that came his way got past him.

Patience paid off late as the Rangers broke out for four goals in third period and turned an early deficit into a stirring 5-2 win Saturday night.

New York outshot Toronto 14-3 in the first, 25-9 through two periods, and 42-17 overall. (See full recap.)

Kings finally win one
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Anze Kopitar scored two goals to spark Los Angeles' top line and the defending Stanley Cup Kings earned their first victory of the season, 4-2 over the Phoenix Coyotes Saturday night.

Scoreless through the season's first three games, the Kings' top line of Kopitar, Dustin Brown and Justin Williams had an extra jump against the Coyotes, combining for four points.

Jake Muzzin had a goal and an assist and Jeff Carter also scored for Los Angeles, which matched its season total for goals to avoid its first four-game winless start since 1997-98. Eight players had at least a point for the Kings.

Mikkel Boedker and Shane Doan scored for the Coyotes, who had another night of defensive letdowns for their fourth loss in five games. (See full recap.)

Chicago still undefeated
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- This was supposed to be the weekend for the NHL All-Star Game at Nationwide Arena.

Instead, the Chicago Blackhawks flaunted their own constellation of stars.

Patrick Kane had yet another multipoint game with two assists, Jonathan Toews scored the game-winner early in the third period and Corey Crawford had 24 saves to help Chicago match the best start in franchise history with a 3-2 victory Saturday night over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The only other time the Blackhawks began a season 5-0-0 was 1971-72. (See full recap.)
