Brother vs. brother: for real this time

Share

This time, its for real.

None of that exhibition game stuff like September up in Toronto.

Younger brother versus older brother.

Yeah, its going to be exciting, said 20-year-old Flyers forward Brayden Schenn, who faces older brother Luke on Monday night when the Toronto Maple Leafs hit the ice at the Wells Fargo Center.

Luke turns 22 next week.

Im looking forward to it, Brayden said. Weve gone thru it a couple times in exhibition and I dont think it will be any different.

The Maple Leafs are going strong right now and the Flyers are struggling on home ice with two losses in succession.

Brayden said he and his brother have only been talking about what it will be like to play against each other in a real game and not how the clubs are doing.

Its been talked about for a while now, Brayden said. The first match. I think its going to be exciting, not only for us but for the family as well.

The Schenn family will be on hand, too. Mom, dad and both sisters, Madison and Macy.
They all live in Saskatoon.

So who roots for whom?

I dont know, Brayden replied, smiling. I guess they hope for good games from both of us; thats really all they can hope for.
