Peter Laviolette pays attention to trends when it comes to his goaltenders.

So when he sees that Ilya Bryzgalov is 4-0-0 lifetime against Toronto with a 1.55 goals against average, you know the Bryz will be goal against the Leafs.

Not Thursday night at Wells Fargo Center, however. Bryzgalov reported to the arena sick this morning and was sent home.

Hence, Sergei Bobrovsky will start against the Leafs.

Though Bryz wasnt at the morning skate, Justin Moose Musciano, from Drexel Hill, a local hockey goalie, took the ice so the Flyers had two goalies at practice.

We lit him up in the morning game, joked Flyers president Peter Luukko.

Musciano plays most mornings on the ice against the Comcast-Spectacor execs in a pick-up hockey game. He had played earlier on Thursday against Luukkos team.

Musciano is 27. He played at Division-III Johnson and Wales in Providence, R.I.

The Flyers called up goaltenderJason Bacashihua from their AHL affiliate Adirondack Phantoms on an emergency basis. It is unknown whether Bryzgalov will be able to back Bobrovsky up, but Bacashihua is now available if he cannot.
