Sorry, Flyers fans. Thursday night wont mark Sidney Crosbys return to the Wells Fargo Center.

Crosby, who missed 61 games over the past two seasons because of a concussion, did not travel with the Pens to Philadelphia today. He will miss the Penguins next two games as a precaution.

Sidney took a hard hit during our game against Boston Monday night and wasn't feeling 100 percent," Penguins GM Ray Shero told the Penguins website. "He saw Dr. Micky Collins of UPMC today and took an ImPACT test, which showed no problems. However, we all think its best that he sits out the next two games as a precaution.

The hit Shero is referring to is believed to be an accidental oneat 13:30 of the third period against the Bruins on Dec. 5, Crosby collided with teammate Chris Kunitz (watch video here). However, Crosby did practice with the team on Wednesday. In postgame interviews, he didn't make mention of any injuries sustained from the hit.

In eight games this season, Crosby has registered two goals and 10 assists. However, both goals came in his first game back, the Penguins 5-0 slaughtering of the New York Islanders on Nov. 21.

In 36 career games against the Flyers, Crosby has 26 goals and 36 assists. He hasnt played at the Wells Fargo Center since Dec. 14he had two assists in the Flyers 3-2 victory.
