Giroux, Lindros have something in common

Claude Giroux is tied for the NHL scoring lead.

Giroux and Toronto's Phil Kessel each have 32 points. According to ELIAS, the last Flyer to lead the NHL in points after 25 team games was Eric Lindros.

In 1998-99, Lindros was tied for the NHL lead with 43 points after 33 team games with Pittsburgh's Jaromir Jagr.

Toronto's Joffrey Lupul (30 points), Chicago's Jonathan Toews (29 points) and Edmonton's Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (29 points) round out the top five in scoring so far this season.

Kessel, Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos and Ottawa's Milan Michalek are tied for the NHL lead in goals with 16. Giroux and Toews rank second with 15 each.
