Signs point to Timonen playing vs. Sens

Depending upon how things go in warm-ups, Kimmo Timonen should be back in the lineup for this afternoon's matinee against the Ottawa Senators.

Timonen, who was struck on the left hand with a puck during the Winter Classic against the Rangers, got good news on Friday when doctors found no fracture in his hand.

He showed up earlier this morning with the other Flyer regulars and was not wearing the protective soft cast on his hand. If Timonen weren't playing, he would not have been with the regulars to report to the arena for morning briefing, prior to the game.

Everything will hinge on how he feels during warm-ups. Game time is 1 p.m. The Flyers will leave immediately after the game for Ottawa where they play Sunday at 5 p.m.

Timonen has a 223-game "Iron Man" streak going for the Flyers.
