Sources: Jagr suffered groin pull vs. Coyotes

Flyers' right winger Jaromir Jagr suffered a groin pull, sources said, early during Thursday's game against Phoenix and did not return.

General manager Paul Holmgren wouldnt confirm that, other than to say it was lower body and not serious.

Hes got a little bit of thing in his lower body and we dont think its anything serious, Holmgren said. I just talked to Jaromir. He thinks within in a couple days he should be better. Hopefully, we get him back on Monday.

Then again, with groin pulls, you never know. They can linger.

Jagr will remain in Philadelphia this weekend rehabbing while the team left for Winnipeg on Thursday night.

He apparently was sandwiched between two players during a shift, winced in pain, then left the ice. He played just 1:22 in the opening periodthree shifts in all.

Jagr came into the game second on the club in scoring with 17 points. Jakub Voracek and James van Riemsdyk alternated, taking his shift on Claude Giroux's line with Scott Hartnell.
