WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- Its not a strong possibility, but it could happen.

The Flyers could meet the Winnipeg Jets in the playoffs. The Jets are just one point behind Florida, which occupies the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Flyers have fallen back to fifth in the East and have the same number of points as Pittsburgh71which occupies sixth.

Its not inconceivable the Flyers finish sixth and face the Southeast Division winner.

These arent your old Atlanta Thrashers, who the Flyers owned for years. The Jets, who routed Colorado 5-1 on Sunday here, have beaten the Flyers in all three previous games this season.

Did we mention they had a season-high three power-play goals against the Flyers on Nov. 19 herethe last game that Chris Pronger played for the Flyers this season?

The Flyers need to get a lead on Winnipeg, especially going into the third period. The Jets are 0-20-3 this season when trailing after two periods.

Danny Briere and Scott Hartnell have five points in the season series, matching Winnipegs Jim Slater and Nik Antropov.
