BOX SCORE

The Sixers have one game left in what Doug Collins described as a seven game death row stretch, given the strong records of their opponents. They are 4-2 with the L.A. Clippers arriving in two days.

San Antonio handed the Sixers just their fourth home loss of the season with a 100-90 win. They were powered by a spectacular performance by Tony Parker, who led all scorers with 37. Parker became the third opposing point guard to put on a show here at the Wells Fargo Center this season, joining Andre Miller and Deron Williams.

Neither team shot the ball well in the first half but San Antonio changed their ways in the third quarter when they made 56 percent of their shots to the Sixers' 42 percent.

Tim Duncan had his eighth double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Elton Brand had a double-double as well, with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

The Sixers had five players in double figures led by Lou Williams 22. Andre Iguodala had 17, with 11 coming in the first half.

Turning Point
At the end of the third quarter, Parker was sent to the foul line twice in the final 31 seconds; both times the calls were suspect. He could have been called for traveling on the the first trip, and on the second Evan Turner was called for a phantom foul with Parker preparing to attack the rim, but having not put the ball on the ground yet.

Parker made all four free throws and the momentum that seemed to be drifting back the Sixers was gone. The Sixers were down 8 heading into the fourth.
Follow the Leader
Parker is the Spurs' leading scorer, averaging 18 a game. Two games prior to San Antonios date with the Sixers, he had scored 42 points against the Thunder; so, his scoring capabilities have range.

He led all scorers at the half on Wednesday with 16 points, which included all six converted attempts from the foul line. By games end, he had 37 and was a perfect 13-for-13 at the line, attempting two more free throws than the Sixers entire team.

On the season, Parker attempts 4.7 free throws a game.

Stat-egic
The Spurs average 20 three point attempts per game and connect on 39 percent of them. The Sixers limited them to 5-for-15 shooting from long range.

The Sixers committed four first quarter turnovers but finished with 10 for the game.

Take a Bow
Andre Iguodala had a breakaway dunk in the first quarter that he threw down with authority. Iguodala has had numerous monster dunks of late that have served to ignite the crowd as well as his teammates.

Another writer told me that, if he had a vote, he would not vote for Iguodala to make the All-Star team, arguing that he wants to be entertained by the best players in the world at the NBAs mid-season classic.

I'll argue that Iguodala -- in the track-meet-style game that All-Star Sunday is -- could absolutely shine!
Whats Next?
If the duo of Tim Duncan and Parker impressed you, imagine the combo of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin at the Wells Fargo Center Friday night. Heading into Wednesday night, Blake Griffin had the second most dunks in the NBA this year with 63 -- one behind Dwight Howards 64.

Iguodala is 13th on the dunk list with 29.

Chris Paul is fourth in the league in assists with 8.9 per game.
