Sixers offer patriotic price for January tickets

Since the new ownership group led by Joshua Harris and Adam Aron took over, the Sixers have undergone some changes. Rod Thorn and Doug Collins are running the show with the departure of Ed Stefanski. The choices are out for the new Sixers mascot (see story). And now, there is a new ticket deal being offered by the team.

The Sixers' owners have decided to call upon the roots of the city by announcing that all tickets in the Wells Fargo Center's mezzanine level will cost 17.76 or less for all 13 home games in January. There will also be no online ticket fees for mezzanine level purchases made on Sixers.com.

"What better way to give back to our fans and welcome new Sixers ownership, than to celebrate the heritage of our city and the heritage of our team's name with a 17.76 price," Aron said.

"If Philadelphians ever wanted to see an NBA game in person, but felt that prices were unaffordable to do so, now is your time."

Individual game tickets and packages go on sale online or over the phone on Friday.
