Team Philly is ready to defend its self-proclaimed championship, which Hakim Warrick declared after his squad knocked off Team Melo on Sunday at the Palestra.

Team Philly will travel to Washington D.C. to take on the Goodman League on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. The matchup will take place at Coolidge High School, 6315 5th St. NW in D.C.

Players are not confirmed yet for either team, as details are still being ironed out, but some possible players for the Goodman League could include Kevin Durant, John Wall, Jeff Green, Michael Beasley and DeMarcus Cousins.

Team Philly defeated Team Melo, which included LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul, 131-122 in front of a sold-out crowd. Philly was led by Kyle Lowry, Lou Williams, Hakim Warrick and Tyreke Evans.

The Goodman League started this whole trend of traveling NBA summer league teams when they hosted the Drew League of Los Angeles. Goodman won that game by a point. Then, Goodman took on the Indy Pro-Am team in Indianapolis last Saturday. On Friday, they will travel to New York to take on the Rucker Park All-Stars. Then, on Oct. 9, the Goodman League will go cross-country to Los Angeles for a rematch with the Drew League.
