Previous games
The Sixers are coming off a tough loss to the Knicks in New York on Wednesday. The defeat ended their six-game winning streak. It was also their third game in as many nights.

The Wizards are on an eight-game losing streak in road games. Their most recent loss came at the hands of the Chicago Bulls, 78-64. Washingtons shooting percentage against the Bulls (31 percent) was a season worst.

Whos hot?
Spencer Hawes was hot before he suffered an injury and missed the game against the Knicks. He is averaging a team-high 9.1 rebounds, and is also averaging 11.1 points. Hawes is expected to play on Friday.

Jordan Crawford quietly had himself a decent game in Washingtons loss to the Bulls. He had a team-high 14 points in only 19:44.

Storylines
The Sixers won their last two games against the Wizards last season at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Wizards won the previous five games, with two wins coming in overtime.

Tonights game will be the first of two consecutive games between the two.
