Bryz Said Hartnell Looked Like Tom Hanks in 'Cast Away,' But Yukon Cornelius Seems More Apt

Bryz Said Hartnell Looked Like Tom Hanks in 'Cast Away,' But Yukon Cornelius Seems More Apt

Yesterday we showed you video (and a Photoshop) of Ilya Bryzgalov commenting on Scott Hartnell's free-flowing locks and beard resembling Tom Hanks' character in "Cast Away," but today the NBC 10 crew found an even better comparison for Hartnell: Yukon Cornelius from the Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer movie. Pretty close.

Hartsy and fellow teammates Claude Giroux and Matt Read were at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night to taken in the travesty of a basketball game that was the Sixers-Nets contest. One highlight did stick out, however, when boisterous "Let's Go Flyers!" chants broke out after the orange and black trio were shown on the jumbotron. More of those coming real soon.

Many of the Flyers players were at the SkateZone today as the NHL's Board of Governors approved the new CBA. Now it's just on the NHLPA and we can start making everything official-like.

Look! Claude Giroux on skates wearing a Flyers jersey playing hockey. Hooray!

White House communications director criticized for citing Joe Paterno quote about honor

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- President Donald Trump's new communications director is getting sacked on social media for quoting Joe Paterno while making a point about honor and dignity.

Anthony Scaramucci mentioned the late Penn State football coach's oft-cited line "act like you've been there before" during a CNN interview Thursday about his push to stop leaks to the press.

Penn State fired Paterno in 2011 over his handling of child sex abuse allegations against former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky. A university-commissioned investigation concluded Paterno and others hushed up the allegations for fear of bad publicity.

Paterno, one of college football's winningest coaches, died of lung cancer in January 2012 at 85. He was never charged with a crime.

When Paterno died, Scaramucci tweeted he'd met the coach twice and considered him an "honorable man."
