CSN Philly Tomboy documentary premieres March 13 at 10 p.m.

PHILADELPHIA -- Continuing throughout Women's History Month, CSN Philadelphia elevates the conversation about gender in sports with the airing of TOMBOY, a multi-platform documentary project, told through the voices of many of the world's most prominent females athletes, broadcasters, and sports executives. A special one-hour TOMBOY, airs on CSN Philadelphia on Monday, March 13 at 10 p.m.

Notable figures appearing in TOMBOY include legendary champion for gender equality/tennis icon Billie Jean King, Little League World Series pitching sensation Mo'ne Davis, four-time World Cup-champion skier Lindsey Vonn, Basketball Hall of Famer Ann Meyers-Drysdale, and among others. In the last 40 years, the number of females participating in sports has nearly doubled, with two out of every five girls today choosing to play sports, according to the Women's Sports Foundation. The documentary discusses reasons why some girls aren't playing sports, as well as increases the awareness and conversation about the participation of women in sports.
