Place your bets: Broncos, Pats heavily favored

All four favorites won in the wild-card round this weekend and the Packers, Seahawks, Ravens and Texans are moving on to the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. Interestingly, all four games were under the point total, after the last 110 playoff games had a perfect 55-55 split of over and under, according to Pregame.com.

It creates matchups between the No. 1-seeded Falcons and fifth-seeded Seahawks, the No. 2-seed 49ers and No. 3-seed Packers, the top-seeded Broncos and fourth-seeded Ravens, and the No. 2-seeded Patriots and third-seeded Texans.

The updated Super Bowl odds look like this:

Broncos: 31
Patriots: 41
49ers: 61
Packers: 71
Seahawks: 81
Falcons: 81
Ravens: 201
Texans: 201

The identical odds of Seattle and Atlanta show how little confidence Vegas has in the 13-3 Falcons, even after they clinched home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. Atlanta still has something to prove.

Early odds favor the Falcons by two points over the Seahawks, the 49ers by three at home against the Packers, and the Pats and Broncos by nine points each over the Texans and Ravens, respectively.

As for Monday nights BCS Championship Game between Notre Dame and Alabamawhich features plenty of first-round talentthe Crimson Tide are favored by 9 points. Two fascinating facts from Pregame.com: it is Alabamas 41st straight game being favored, and Notre Damewhich was 50-to-1 to win the National Championshipwould pay out 5,000 on a 100 preseason bet.
