Vick doesn't care if Eagles wanted Peyton

Michael Vick is the Eagles quarterback and he doesn't much care if the team was interested in Peyton Manning.

"I don't know how true it is and I really don't care," Vick said while speaking to students at Simon Gratz High School, according to the Eagles official Twitter account. "... I'm one of the best."

A week ago, Andy Reid responded to the report that the Eagles had interest in bringing in four-time MVP Manning.

We look into everything, as all teams do, Reid said. And I have the highest regard for Peyton Manning. But as I said publicly last month, that wasnt the direction we were heading in. Michael is our guy.

Vick said he is one of the best. Now, he just has to play like it. Last year, Vick had a 59.8 completion percentage with 18 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He missed three games with a rib injury and left two games early (Falcons, Cardinals). The Eagles won only one of those five games.
