The weather isn't even nice in Sea Isle this time of year.
Their backs are now against the wall as the New York Rangers played a much more complete game on Sunday afternoon at the Garden. The Flyers found themselves trailing early yet again and, while they did battle back, Claude Giroux finally finding the back of the net proved to be too little, too late. Maybe it'll give the captain some added confidence heading into the win-or-go-home Game 6? Kind of says a lot about this series when that's the positive takeaway from the game.
Steve Mason didn't play well enough to win it. Hal Gill, Braydon Coburn and company didn't help either.
The Flyers power play simply wasn't effective enough on Sunday. In a series where it feels like the Rangers are the better team, if the Flyers want to win they have to convert on more PP chances. It felt like they avoided the Rags blocking as many shots in this one, but that didn't end up in any more scores.
The Rangers were the better team on Sunday. Is there anything you think the Flyers can do on Tuesday to turn the tides? Steve Mason needs to be better. The power play needs to be better. The Flyers need to play better pretty much all around.
If they don't, they're golfing.
