The voting by era for our All-Time Flyers squad is over.

Now comes the really tough part. Were going to take all the winners you voted for and lump them together, by position, for our final All-Time Flyers unit.

Doesnt matter in what era they competed, they are all eligible for this final vote by you, the fans, as your Favorite Flyer by position.

It doesnt get any tougher than this, because now you are being asked to rank the No. 1 Flyer at every position and sentimentality will often overcome logic or even statistical matter when fans vote by their hearts.

Sure, we recognize that among the legions of loyal Flyers fans, guys like Bobby Clarke and Bernie Parent will forever be ranked No. 1 at their positions. As they should be.

But seeing who finishes second and third is interesting at each position because you never hear someone say, I think so-and-so was the second-best right wing the Flyers ever had.

Now were going to say it with you, the fans, having the final say.

Heres your previous winners by era. Have fun with the final tally:

Left wing:

Bill Barber (1967-79 era)

Brian Propp (1980-90)

John LeClair (1991-99)

Simon Gagne (2000-Present)

Center:

Bobby Clarke (1967-79)

Dave Poulin (1980-90)

Eric Lindros (1991-99)

Keith Primeau (2000-Present)

Right wing:

Reggie Leach (1967-79)

Tim Kerr (1980-90)

Mark Recchi (1991-99)

Claude Giroux (2000-Present)

Defenseman:

Ed Van Impe (1967-79)

Mark Howe (1980-90)

Eric Desjardins (1990-99)

Chris Pronger (2000-Present)

Goalie:

Bernie Parent (1967-79)

Ron Hextall (1980-90 & 1990-99)

Brian Boucher (1990-99)
Hextall, like others such as Recchi, played through multiple eras. Hexy was voted No. 1 by the fans in both eras he represented in our poll.
