Henrique faces month-long rehab
Adam Henrique won't be ready for the start of the NHL season if it begins, after the New Jersey Devils center tore his ulnar collateral ligament during a stint with AHL Albany in November.
Henrique had his cast removed this week, but will require 3-4 weeks of rehab to strengthen his hand, according to NorthJersey.com (via ProHockeyTalk).
Henrique, who was a finalist for last season's Calder Trophy, scored 16 goals and had 35 assists in 74 games last year.
Clarence Kparghai was fined 900 Swiss francs -- approximately 1,000 dollars -- for the incident, according to IIHF communications manager Szymon Szemberg (via ProHockeyTalk).
In 82 games with the Islanders last season, Tavares recorded 31 goals and 50 assists.
