The Flyers (5-6-1) are coming off a 4-3 OT win against the Hurricanes (5-4-1) to finish off their four-game homestand (see story).
The Flyers are looking to get back-to-back wins tomorrow in Luke Schenn’s return to Toronto (see story).
So with the Flyers off today, here are a few other NHL games to pay attention to.
Blackhawks (9-0-2) at Predators (5-2-4), 8 p.m.
This will be the first meeting of these two Central Division rivals. Chicago is atop the Central, but Nashville is looking to close the gap between the two.
This is no easy feat; Chicago is not only number one in the Central Division but also leads the NHL in wins with nine and in points with 20.
Chicago’s Patrick Kane is second in the league in points with 18, but will be facing a tough Nashville defense that leads the league in goals against per game with 1.82.
Devils (7-1-3) at Penguins (8-4-0), 7:30 p.m.
The first time these two teams met, on Feb. 2 it was no contest; Pittsburgh blew out the Devils 5-1.
They then met again Saturday to start a home-and-home series. The Devils came away on top this time with a 3-1 victory.
The Devil’s snapped the Penguins' six-game win streak and Pittsburgh is looking to return the favor tonight by snapping New Jersey’s four-game win streak with help from Sidney Crosby. Crosby is fourth in the league in points with 17.
Lightning (6-4-0) at Rangers (5-5-0), 7:30 p.m.
The Lightning will look to get back on track when they face the Rangers tonight.
Tampa Bay is coming off a season-low 19 shots on net in their loss to New Jersey on Thursday.
Rangers defenseman Dan Girardi could make his return in tonight's game. Getting Girardi back would help against Tampa Bay’s Martin St. Louis who is leading the league in assists with 13.
