Juan Castillo spoke with a number of reporters today after getting released from his job as defensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles, including Comcast SportsNet's Derrick Gunn and NBC10's Vai Sikahema.

It's hard not to feel bad for the coach who dedicated his career to the Eagles as you watch him choke up when talking about letting those around him down.

"I feel bad for Coach Reid that I didn't get it done for him, for the city, and for Mr. Lurie," Castillo told Vai.

"I'd still [take a bullet for Reid] right now," he responds when asked about his earlier comment saying the same.

D-Gunn asks Castillo what he would do over if he could do it all again.

"You get your guys to outwork people. You outwork people. When you do that, good things happen the majority of the time, sometimes it takes a little bit longer, but they do happen," Castillo said.

It's not often Philadelphia fans sympathize with a coach or athlete who failed to get the job done, but given the bizarre nature of Castillo being put into the role of DC after spending his career as an offensive line guy, coupled with his legendary work ethic, could get him a few free beverages around town.

It won't get him his job back though.
