DeSean Jackson, on the cusp of deal in Washington, hung with Redskins players and Wale last night

The Redskins were listed as the oddsmaker's favorite to land former Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson and if Monday night was any indication, Vegas sure is right a lot.

DeSean was indeed in DC on Monday to visit and break bread with Washington Redskins' coaches and brass. Multiple people on Twitter were reporting that a deal was done between the two sides but those were later tempered a bit with the situation seeming like a deal is very close, but nothing is actually official just yet.

Later in the evening DC rapper Wale posted the above photo (via NBA writer David Aldridge of all people) of DJacc mingling in DC with the musician and a couple of current Redskins players including DeAngelo Hall and Pierre Garcon.

DeSean Jackson ending up on a division rival is a real possibility. I do not look forward to watching him go up against the Birds' current secondary twice a season.

From CSN earlier in the day:

DeSean Jackson briefly talked to the media on Monday while walking through Dulles International Airport in Sterling, Va., before meeting with the Washington Redskins.

Jackson was asked when he would comment on the process of finding a new team.

"It's my agent's job, that's why I have an agent," Jackson said. "I'm excited about everything right now. It's a new beginning, new chances."
