The only time I really questioned a professional athlete wearing an opposing team's jersey was that one time Terrell Owens wore a Michael Irvin Cowboys jersey while T.O. was still a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. That one seemed a bit weird in the etiquette department. But T.O. and proper etiquette never really seemed to go together real well.
But a baseball player not pulling for the football team in the town he currently plays in? Whatever.
So when I saw Phillies slugger Dom Brown put on his own Cowboys jersey and tweet out a photo last night, I knew the angry Philly fanbase would let him hear it. But as a quasi adult, I really don't care what jersey a professional athlete wears. And I almost appreciate Dom having some fun with the fans. What is the point of having all of those Twitter followers if you can't troll them on occasion?

He posted a follow up tweet this afternoon, pointing out that he's enjoying the responses and can't stop laughing.
My favorite part about the whole outrage over the Dom Brown photo? The fact that nobody even noticed what little Ben Revere was wearing.
