The 2011 Philadelphia Eagles are fantastic at being favored to win football games. They've been rather bad at actually winning those football games.
The folks over at USA Today point out that the Eagles have reached some rarefied air this season when it comes to dropping games in which they were favored by more than a touchdown, "The last team to lose four times in a season while being at least a touchdown favorite was the 2000 St. Louis Rams. But the Rams' over-expectations were a lot more understandable, given that they were the defending Super Bowl champions."
This is great news if you make a habit of betting against your favorite football team every week.
