Brian Dawkins announced his retirement yesterday via Twitter but according to the Denver Post's Mike Klis, B-Dawk will sign a one-day contract with the Philadelphia Eagles to officially retire as a member of the team he played played the majority of his career with. Klis also says that the Eagles will retire Dawkins' No. 20 jersey during a half-time ceremony this season. Wish I had tickets to that game.

Klis's full tweet, "Brian Dawkins will have press conference in Philly on Saturday. He will
sign a 1-day contract and officially retire as an Eagle. Philly will
announce it will retire his No. 20 during a halftime ceremony."
