Dallas Reynolds, Kurt Coleman and Dennis Kelly –- late-round picks and undrafted players who were starters for most of 2012 -– are the Eagles’ biggest winners in the NFL’s performance-based pay distribution payouts.

Reynolds will pocket an additional $294,844 on top of his $394,960 salary, Coleman receives $208,432 in addition to his $555,647 2012 pay and Kelly will get $184,315 to go with $437,220 in salary.

Reynolds’ payout was the second-highest in the entire NFL for 2012, behind Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who gets $299,465. Third-most was Saints center Brian De La Puente, who got $289,373.

Reynolds, an undrafted free agent who had spent three years on the practice squad, started 14 games at center in place of injured Jason Kelce. Coleman, a seventh-round pick in 2010, started 14 games at safety, and Kelly, a rookie fifth-round pick, started 10 games at right guard and right tackle.

Reynolds played 991 of a possible 1,127 snaps on offense along with 61 snaps on special teams, Coleman played 879 of 1,048 snaps on defense and 115 plays on special teams, and Kelly was on the field for 685 of 1,127 offensive plays and 43 on special teams.

Also receiving at least $100,000 are Brandon Boykin ($165,748), Stanley Havili ($140,696), Cedric Thornton ($135,907), Mychal Kendricks ($134,381), Riley Cooper ($110,916), Colt Anderson ($108,398), Bryce Brown ($106,375) and Akeem Jordan ($100,819).

Performance-based pay is a program written into the Collective Bargaining Agreement that provides salary supplements to players based on their salary and playing time.

The system does not take into account how a player plays, just how much he plays. The pay supplements are based on an index in which a player’s total plays on offense, defense and special teams are compared to his total pay, including incentives. The amount of a player’s supplemental income is then determined by comparing that index to other players on the same team.

In general, players with the lowest salaries who play the most –- such as Reynolds, Coleman and Kelly –- receive the largest bonuses.

Every team has a $3.4 million pool, and everybody on the roster who played at least one snap will receive something.

For the Eagles, that means 66 players will receive a check this week, ranging from Reynolds to reserve tight end Evan Moore, who played 104 snaps late in the season and earned a total of $791.
